I’ve spent a lot of time at stores lately…probably more than is good for my wallet…but the great thing about shopping this time of year is that the inventory is constantly changing so it’s a whole new experience each time I go.  Lately, I’ve enjoyed watching all of the great Fall decor items go on display and while I don’t use traditional fall colors in my decorating, I’m attracted to all of the  textures, metallics, and cozy accessories that I’m coming across. Even though I’m done decorating for Fall this year {you can take the full tour HERE}, that doesn’t stop me from window shopping!  So today I’m sharing a few of my favorite Fall decor accessories with you PLUS giving you tips and ideas for using them!

1. Moscow Mule Mug – Set of 2 from Target

I’ve always loved the gorgeous metallic look of the Moscow Mule Mug but what I like about this one in particular is that it has an antique copper finish on the outside, giving it a more muted look.  And I love the contrast with the geometric high-shine handle!  These look great displayed in basket trays in the kitchen or hanging from a bottle drying rack.

2. Jacquelyn Basket – Pottery Barn

I’ve owned this basket for a few years and it’s still one of my favorites.  In the past, I’ve used it for throws near the sofa, but right now, it’s been in my bedroom holding birch logs.  It’s the color and shape that makes this particular basket so interesting to me

3. Velvet Pumpkins  – The Velvet Harvest

Velvet pumpkins are great for decorating because 1) they last indefinitely, unlike real pumpkins and 2) the materials adds a bit of femininity and sheen.  While you can buy velvet pumpkins in stores, I really like these from The Velvet Harvest on Etsy because she uses real dried pumpkin stems, which provide great contrast to the velvet.  These are also filled with poly pellets, which I like because I think it gives them a softer shape.

4. Sweater Pillows

Warm, cozy sweaters are a staple of the winter wardrobe, but they look equally good as an accent pillow!  This gorgeous wool pillow from Precious Knits is one of my favorites!

5. White Pitcher – Target

I like white dishware in general, but pitchers are a favorite of mine.  In the Fall, I like how the white pops against the darker colors and these are great for sunflowers, dried hydrangeas, cotton stems, etc.

6. Gold Jack – Target

I’ve grouped this into my Fall Favorites because of its great metallic color which is reminiscent of the leaves as they turn bright yellow.  Whimsical accents such as this are great additions to coffee tables and mantels whether used on top of a stack of books or next to a vase of flowers.

7. Wooden Caddy – Set of 2 from Target

A wooden caddy makes a perfect Fall accent for a table.  You can fill it with pumpkins, acorns, flowers, and more to make a beautiful Fall display.  Or in the kitchen, fill it with apples to add a bit of rustic texture!

8. Boxwood Wreath – Antique Farmhouse

I use boxwood wreaths year-round but they make it onto my list because they add great contrast to the typical muted colors of Fall.  Plus, you can add Fall stems like berries, grapevine twigs, or cotton stems to completely change up the look!

9. Glass and Leather Lantern – Target

Lanterns are great in the Fall because the light adds a sense of warmth to the space.  These look great when used in groups near a fireplace or on the mantel.  Individually, they can work on tables flanking a centerpiece or flanking a door!

10. Faux Fur Throw – Pottery Barn

These throws are so soft and cozy, plus they add great texture to a room.  I like the look when draped over the corner of a bed or placed on the back of a leather chair.
