Welcome to another edition of French Country Fridays, a weekly collection of articles that celebrate the beauty of French-inspired décor.

This week, I shared my favorite things as part of my Holiday Gift Guide for the Home. I started a bit of shopping and finished photographing my holiday dining room, which I can’t wait to share with you!

This week is all about Christmas! You can get ideas for a holiday table setting, a French style Christmas tour, and two pink Christmas trees!

I think you’ll love what my friends are sharing this week!

    Dear Kim,
I have been reading your blog for many years and always enjoyed your creativity and uniqueness. Please forgive me for saying this but since you have joined this French Country group, your blog has become more of a keep up with the “Jones’. “ It has taken on a very uninspired copy cat writing/photos. I used to love seeing your post in my in box but somewhere along the way the person I used to enjoy has transpired into a “Stepford wife”. Please reconsider this new venue. I know it is very flattering to have been sought out to join the group, but remember it was your uniqueness that caught their eye. You have so much more to offer than follow the leader. I hope you take this constructively and go back to being You!

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.

    Sincerely,
    Trisha

      Hi Trisha,

Apologies for taking so long to respond but I really wanted to give some thought to your email before I replied. I can tell that you thought a lot about this feedback and wrote it in a way so that it came across as constructive, and for that, I’m really grateful! I’m always open to feedback and I will genuinely take your thoughts into consideration moving forward.

I’ll agree that I have made some changes in the last 6 months or so, but they weren’t related to FCF, but rather other feedback I had received from readers. I always submit articles to FCF that are in keeping with that brand so for FCF on Friday, my articles will be a similar style to the other. But I do post other articles on my site that I would never use for FCF because they wouldn’t fit with that series. Those articles I typically post on Tuesdays.

Perhaps what I’ll do is send a poll out to readers to get additional input. I’m definitely going through a transition right now so I’d ask that you stick with me while I work out some of the kinks!

Thank you for being a reader and for so thoughtfully writing your email. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

      :) Kim
