Since we were recently on the subject of how to refresh your home, I thought it would be a great time to share some of my favorite online stores for affordable home decor. These 16 stores provide tons of options at prices that won’t make you cringe. But more importantly, they have quality pieces that will keep your home looking classy regardless of whether you’re looking for something that will last a lifetime or something fun and trendy. {This post may contain affiliate links. From throw pillows, to lighting, decorative accessories, or even furniture, these sites carry it all and some of the best prices around. Some you probably know of and shop at often, but others you might be surprised they even carry home decor! The next time you want a home makeover without breaking the bank, you’ll know just where to look. To get you started, I’ve picked out some of my favorite finds from each store and posted them below.
Ready, set, shop!
1. Target
It seems that everyone who walks into Target comes out with waaaaay more than they ever intended! How can we resist? There’s just so much to choose from and on Target.com, there’s even more! Not only is Target affordable, but they have an easy return policy in case you change your mind. Their home decor section always has fun finds from brands like Opalhouse, Project 62, and Hearth & Hand so Target is definitely worth checking out.
Would you believe my reproduction Mora clock is from Target? Well it is!
2. TJ Maxx
TJ Maxx is the parent company of HomeGoods, Marshalls and HomeSense, so you might already be familiar with them. They carry designer and trendy items but at discounted prices. The thing about TJ Maxx, though, is that usually once something is gone, it’s gone. They don’t tend to reorder or restock so if you see something you like, grab it before it’s gone! Similar to shopping in their brick and mortar counterpart, half of the fun is browsing to find a good bargain. You’ll find everything from bedding, to knickknacks, wall art, throw pillows and more.
3. Etsy
Whether you’re looking for a unique, custom item or something vintage, Etsy literally has everything! It takes a bit of time to search but don’t get discouraged because there are some amazing finds and great deals on Etsy! Some of my favorite things to search for on Etsy include custom linens and pillow covers because you can find the fabric you love and get it made to order!
4. Zara Home
I first fell in love with Zara’s fun and affordable fashion while taking my daughter shopping in Paris. What I didn’t realize is that they have a home section that you can shop online with free delivery with purchases over $49.90! They have items for every room of your home, ranging from trendy to timeless classics.
5. Wayfair
Whatever you’re looking for, chance are you’ll find it at Wayfair and at a great price, too! Whether you want art, furniture, lighting, baskets or even bedding, they really do have it all and in a variety of decorating styles. I browse Wayfair quite often and am very impressed with the search and filter features, making it easier to find what it is you really want. As with any online purchase, make sure to read reviews first, but so far, I’ve been very happy with everything I’ve purchased from Wayfair.
6. Ballard Designs
Unlike some of the other sites listed here, Ballard Designs is strictly home decor furnishing. Their products have a European influence and range from timeless to fun and trendy with bold pops of color. According to them, “We reinterpret classic designs in a contemporary way, so pieces feel at once fresh and timeless.” For upholstered pieces Ballard Designs is great because they offer a variety of materials to choose from. From time to time they have sales and based on my personal experience, their customer service is excellent.
7. Art.com
This is my go-to resource whenever I’m on the hunt for art due to the huge inventory they have to choose from. They have everything from poster-style prints, to canvas, to wall tapestries, decals, and framed art. For most items, you can choose from a variety of sizes and choose your format. They often have sales so I tend to wait until the item I want is discounted.
8. Walmart
Walmart might not be on your radar when it comes to home decor, but it should be! Walmart.com doesn’t just sell its own products, but products from many other vendors. What that means for you is that you get a ton of options at a variety of prices!
9. Half Price Drapes
I’ve purchased multiple drapery panels from Half Price Drapes and have always been very happy with the quality and price. They sell a mix of ready-made, made to order, and custom products, all in a variety of fabrics. The company is local to me and used to have the most amazing showroom, but now the only way to see the fabrics before purchasing is to order the free swatches. Look for a 20% off coupon before you buy!
10. Joss & Main
Joss & Main is a division of Wayfair, but with a focus on the home. There are tons of stylish decor items to choose from and they’ve done a great job with their search/filter features to make shopping easier. Just want to browse? You can search by style if you just want to see what items you might like.
11. Antique Farmhouse
The emails from Antique Farmhouse advertising their daily sales are probably the only ones that I regularly open! They tend to sell mostly farmhouse, shabby chic, and French items, so the product styles are somewhat limited but the prices are fantastic. They sell only home decor items, but they range from furniture, to lighting, accessories, and even kitchenware. Often times you can find the exact same product at Pottery Barn and other higher-end stores, but at a fraction of the price!
12. Nordstrom Rack/Haute Look
I’m putting these two together because they are both owned by Nordstrom and what is purchased online from Haute Look can be returned in store to Nordstrom Rack. While you might know both brands for their fashion, they both have home decor sections on their website. Similar to their fashion lines, they carry designer and trendy items at deeply discounted prices. You never know what you’ll find, but it’s worth browsing!
13. Hayneedle
Hayneedle sells a mix of furnishings and home decor, plus they have a huge selection of outdoor living items. Owned by Walmart, they offer a wide range of products for every budget and style.
14. World Market
World Market sells a little bit of everything from lamps, to rugs, furniture, even jewelry and food. What’s great about World Market is that their products tend to be colorful and textural so they add a lot of visual interest to a room and give your home a lot of personality! They often have sales or send coupons if you’re on their list, so if something you want isn’t on sale, keep an eye out for a promotion so you can score an even better bargain.
Here’s a look at my World Market desk styled with tons of their accessories.
15. Overstock
I’ll be honest. I don’t go to Overstock just to browse because there is just so much on the site that it can be overwhelming. But if you’re looking for something in particular, always check Overstock because they have some unbeatable prices. In particular, I love Overstock for their lighting selection, but truly, they have it all!
16. Amazon
The power of Prime has never been more dangerous than when I started shopping for home decor on Amazon. Free two-day shipping? Sure! No need to wait long for some amazing items at great prices when shopping on Amazon. What I love is that they have great customer service and pricing, but so many reviews and user photos that it makes online shopping feel more like brick and mortar browsing. They carry a huge selection of of decor and furniture, ranging from timeless to trendy. Plus you can find some really unique items here!
If you know exactly what you’re looking for, also check Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. While it can be a matter of luck to find what you want, there are some tricks you can use to help with your search. You can read my tips for shopping Craigslist like pro {HERE}.
Also, don’t forget to use Rakuten to save even more on the sites listed above! {You can read my post about Rakuten HERE}
Do you have a favorite online store for shopping not included above? Please let me know so that I can add it to the list!
