Week 4 of the One Room Challenge and I’m still chugging along!  A lot has happened over the last week.  All of the tile work is done and I’m about ready for the cabinets to be installed!  In fact, look what arrived in my garage yesterday!

A few more of my selections arrived this week that I wanted to share with you.

Lighting

I ordered the Floridia 1 light wall sconce from Build.com and couldn’t wait to tear into the boxes when they arrived!

They look beautiful as-is, but I have a few tweaks in mind for these sconces so they might look a bit different on reveal day.

Faucets

The last big thing to arrive this week was all of my faucets!  I love the look of exposed pipe showers and was so excited when I found the Sigma Exposed Thermostatic Shower Set w/Handshower on PlumbingOverstock.com.  Isn’t she a beauty?!

I ordered a coordinating tub filler, as well as two sink faucets.

The Tub

My tub inspiration for the remodel had such a unique shape.  Rectangular but with soft edges and curves that remind me of beautiful crown moulding.

After much searching, I found the tub of my dreams!  It’s the Michelangelo Freestanding Tub made by Hydro Systems and is truly stunning.  It comes in two different sizes for the length – 66″ and 70″ – but for my space, I went with the 66″.  It’s a handmade, acrylic tub that is foam filled.  I opted for just a soaker tub, but there are lots of fancy options available.

Sometimes I find it hard to see what a tub really looks like from an online brochure photo, so I emailed Hydro Systems to ask if they’d be willing to send me photos of the tub from their showroom.  Can you believe they actually took the time to gather up more photos from the showroom floor?!  And look how beautiful this tub is!

Once I’d made my final decision, I contacted Hydro Systems to see if they’d be interested in partnering with me and I’m not kidding when I tell you these are some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.  I am so excited about the tub since it really is what kicked off my whole design plan in the first place!

So, here’s a look at some of my selections so far:

Most of my big decisions are now out of the way, but I still have a ton of details to figure out.  Next week I’ll be sharing some of my shopping finds with you and then comes the reveal on May 9th!
