I’ve shared with you a look at different room in my home all decorated for the holidays and today, I’m giving you the whole Christmas home tour! This post includes, lots and lots of photos. I tried to narrow it down to just my favorites, but there are still a lot so be prepared! You can click on the links in each room for additional details and photos.
Let’s start at the front door, shall we? This year, I wrapped the front door like a present with velvet wired ribbon. I then added a few simple branches of greenery and a couple of mercury glass ornaments to the bow. And YES! I finally finished painting the door black but haven’t yet added the address of lion head door knocker. This isn’t really how I had planned on revealing the door to you, though, so when I finally do the reveal, act surprised, okay? :)
I added a Poinsettia and some cedar to a small basket…
…and I just couldn’t resist adding a Santa hat to my lion statue!
The first room inside the door is the living room, where we have our family Christmas tree. It’s a live Nobel Fir with 1,500 lights so that it lights up the room at night! You can see all of the living room pictures {here}.
The fireplace is covered in cedar branches and a cedar garland with touches of silver and white.
Here’s a look at my favorite chair all dressed up for the holidays with the addition of a simple velvet ribbon…
…but don’t you agree that it looks even better with my new puppy, Jax, sitting on it?!!! He’s a miniature Labradoodle and we love him already!
The dining room has a similar look and feel to that of the living room, with lots of natural greenery, gingham ribbon, and red accents. You can see all of the dining room pictures {here}.
I also added greenery to the chandelier, which makes a great backdrop for the crystals.
In the kitchen, I only did just a touch of decorating. I really only like to decorate with items that makes sense in a kitchen and so prefer to use flowers, plants, and food that is seasonally themed {or colored}. On the wall, I added some Poinsettias and ironstone plates to my vintage crates.
I also updated the fruit bowl vignette that sits in a basket on my countertop to include mandarin oranges, pomegranates, and nuts.
My family room is really the kids’ space, so it’s a lot more casual and traditional in terms of it’s holiday decor and colors. I updated my gallery wall to give it a holiday theme. You can see more in the post {here}.
I also gave the vintage game vignette some Christmas touches, dressed up my olive bucket, and added touches of red to my cabinet.
Finally, I created an advent calendar for just $8 using my old orchard ladder. Details {here}.
The final stop on the holiday tour is my master bedroom. I don’t really decorate anything in the room except the mantel because I love how it glows in the light of the fire. I kept it super simple this year using only cedar branches and white roses to give it a timeless elegant look.
And yes, even my vintage dress form got a bit of Christmas bling…!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my holiday home tour! Have a safe and happy holiday!
