Come take a tour of my traditional kitchen styled with neutral Christmas decor! I used a mix of food and greenery to give the kitchen a simple holiday feel.
It’s my first time ever decorating my new kitchen! Last year, I was without a working kitchen and was forced to microwave Christmas dinner for 10 people. But this year I’m able to cook. so it might as well look pretty, right?
I kept with the color scheme that I used in my Christmas living room and dining room this year. The kitchen is already primarily brown and white, so I mostly added greenery wherever I could.
I strongly believe that kitchen decor should fit within a kitchen so I was very selective about what I brought in to use. I really wanted it to feel like it “fit” the space!
Starting on the window wall, I changed up the dish cabinet just a bit to reflect the holiday season.
Using my own frames and just printing new art is such an easy way to change the feel of the cabinet! And I added a bowl of ornaments just for something different.

I really debated what to do with the window, but in the end, decided on a simple evergreen garland with a center bow.

This antique gold pot was on my Christmas list many years ago from Home Depot if you can believe! I added three small live white poinsettias to it with some moss. I’m sad to report that I can’t find this exact planter anywhere now!
Next to the sink, I added some ribbon and dried lime slices to my regular soap dispensers. I simply tied the ribbon around the bottle and then used a glue gun to glue the dried lime slices to the knot in the ribbon.

Here you can get a look at my back counter. I traded out my art on this wall for a Christmas image as well. This was was from the public domain so I downloaded and printed it for free.

Even the cremone bolts on my bi-fold cabinets got into the holiday spirit with some faux green, small ornaments and bells, and holiday ribbon.

Taking a peek at the stove area, you can see that I added small faux topiaries to each side of the counter with just a couple of ornaments.
I added this green swag from HomeGoods on my painted hood using a Command hook. My friends think I’m crazy to attach something here and they might be right. Fingers crossed when it’s time to remove it!
On my pot rail I added a small basket along with some greenery, which I DO NOT recommend leaving there when cooking!

This little basket is one of my favorites and I styled it with a spare branch from my window garland along with some copper Christmas cookie cutters.

I added some ribbon and greenery above this pot, hanging down along the handle.
Even my counter stools got a bit of flair with some simple ribbon and a small green wreath.
I kept the island counter clear with the exception of this one vignette. I had fun photographing it so prepare for pictures…
I used an antique bread board as a base and then added another faux topiary along with some food and small houses.
I even sprinkled in a few dried lime slices because a kitchen seems like the perfect place for them, right?
And of course my favorite WWII ammo basket holding my antique bread board collection made got dressed up, too!
So that’s my Christmas kitchen tour for this year! It was fun to decorate but I will admit I was a bit stressed about it since it’s new and the ideas seemed endless.
