Come tour my kitchen all dressed and ready for Fall!
When we remodeled the kitchen, one of the things I was most excited about was decorating! I thought I’d love to decorate the kitchen for Fall and mentally planned out everything.
And I probably would have! But then reality hit.
I burned myself out decorating for Christmas (yes, already), and didn’t leave enough time or energy for Fall in the kitchen!
I managed to go all out for Fall in the family room this year, but when it came to the kitchen, I kept things super simple.
Fall Decor for the Kitchen
When it comes to decorating a kitchen, I feel strongly that the décor should “fit” within a kitchen, meaning the décor should be kitchen-related.
Some of my favorite go-to organic Fall items for the kitchen include:
- Fall fruits (Apples, pears, cranberries, persimmons, figs)
- Pumpkins (I love white pumpkins because of their size, but any pumpkins work)
- Fall foliage (branches, leaves, mums, hydrangea, wheat, hops, etc)
- Nuts
- Antlers
- Pinecones
All of these things (well, with the exception of pinecones) fit seamlessly in a kitchen. For Fall color, add a kitchen towel or bring in warm metals like gold and copper.
So here’s a look at my kitchen this year.
Fall Kitchen 2024
I have just a small vignette of pears in a bowl with a single pumpkin and an antler. Would you believe those pears are fake?! I bought them about 20 years ago and I still love them.
I get asked about this basket a lot so I thought I’d share a closeup. It’s a WWII artillery basket designed to actually hold artillery shells.
I found this one on Facebook Marketplace for a steal! Believe it or not, but I was actually looking for this specific basket. I’d seen one once before so I knew it was flat enough to fit at the end of my island but still wide enough to accommodate my vintage bread boards.
I put some live greenery in a vase by the window. After looking at the pictures, I wish I had chosen something more dynamic. Oh well…maybe for Spring! For now, this is what I used.
This is just a mixed greenery bouquet I picked up at the grocery store because I needed something easy. And while I wish it were taller or more striking, this is really pretty greenery!
Over by the range, I have two wheat bundles, one on either side. And my newly acquired Dutch Oven (from Amazon Prime day) is out and ready for me to make some bread!
A wheat bundle, a few acorns in an old terracotta pot, a gold pepper grinder, and some framed Fall art and I have a great vignette for the side of the range!
So that’s it! I said simple and I meant it. Lol! You can shop the look below.
